Italy is a country in southern Europe. It is a neutral country, though their technology is Darwinist. Not much is known about Italy in the series. However, this quote in Goliath reveals a little of Italy's position in the Great War:
| “ | Deryn recognized other uniforms - French, Russian, even a handful of Italians, though Darwinist Italy had yet to join the war. | ” |
Though Italy is a Darwinist nation, it is shown on the map as neutral, as it was historically in 1914. The war's quick end denies Italy the chance of even entering the Great War, as it did historically on May 23rd 1915.
