The Manual of Aeronautics: An Illustrated Guide to the Leviathan Series is an illustrated companion book to the Leviathan series. Illustrated by Keith Thompson and written by Scott Westerfeld, the book includes color images, showing the Leviathan's deck plans, cutaways of some of the machines in the series, pictures of some of the fabricated beasts on the airship, and costumes and portraits of the characters.

The book was officially released on August 21, 2012.

The book shares its name with the aeronautics manual that Deryn uses and learns from in the series.
